Teachers for 2026 - Multiple Learning Areas

Join us at Hobsonville Point Secondary School — bring your passion, grow your leadership, shape the future.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking outstanding teachers across multiple learning areas who can teach to NCEA Level 3 and Scholarship.

Whether you’re at the start of your teaching career or ready for a new leadership challenge, we want to hear from you. We welcome applications from teachers with subject expertise and those with curriculum, extra-curricular, and/or pastoral leadership experience.

Relationships are at the heart of learning at HPSS. We are a caring, inclusive community where students and staff are genuinely known and supported to thrive. Teachers often say they feel re-energised and empowered by our restorative, innovative, and future-focused approach.

We are committed to enacting Te Tiriti o Waitangi and embedding mātauranga Māori, Te Reo Māori me ngā tikanga Māori throughout our curriculum and school culture. In close partnership with our iwi, Te Kawerau ā Maki, all staff are supported in developing culturally sustaining and relational pedagogies.

You will use your subject knowledge to inspire students and collaborate across learning areas to design engaging, interdisciplinary learning. Teachers consistently say that one of the most rewarding aspects of teaching here is the role of learning coach — supporting a small group of students to grow in both academic and personal excellence.

If this sounds like a place where you’d belong and thrive, we’d love to hear from you.
